ABOUT the AUTHOR
Jay Parker is an antique collector and dealer with an avid appreciation of local history. Raised on a dairy farm south of Granton, WI, he has collected Granton-related information and artifacts for over 35 years. That collection spurred the creation of his most recent book, Granton: A Stop on the Stage Route.
Parker is also the author of Southern Potteries Blue Ridge Dinnerware - A Primer for Collectors Old and New, recounting the history and output of the nation's largest manufacturer of hand painted dinnerware in Erwin, TN, and has authored articles for regional publications such as The Old Times, Yesteryear and The New England Antiques Journal. Additionally, he has been a dealer at the annual Blue Ridge Show and Sale for the last 20 years.
