ABOUT the AUTHOR

 

Jay Parker is an antique collector and dealer with an avid appreciation of local history.  He has collected Blue Ridge pottery for over 40 years and has routinely contributed information, articles and photos to the authors of the previous books and newsletters on the subject.  Parker has authored articles about the history of Southern Potteries, Inc. (the maker of Blue Ridge China) for regional publications such as The Old Times, Yesteryear and The New England Antiques Journal.  Additionally, he has been a dealer at the annual Blue Ridge Show and Sale for the last 26 years.
