This colorful bird can be found on a home in downtown Granton. 

 

The quilt’s owner has had a love of cardinals her entire life and this admiration extends to her choice of quilt design as well.  Unlike the pheasant quilt on the Granton Trail, the cardinal and greenery gracing this quilt is stylized, composed of triangles and squares as would be found on a real, pieced quilt.
