This is "THE" premier show and sale and a "must-see" for all collectors of Blue Ridge China / Southern Potteries Dinnerware. Fifteen dealers from around the country will converge on Erwin, TN, to display and sell the wares of what was once the largest producer of hand-painted pottery in the United States and a true bit of area cultural folk art.

The show is held at the Love Chapel Elementary School (formerly the Unicoi County Intermediate School), 600 South Mohawk Dr., Erwin, TN 37650. The Thursday night preview show has a $5.00 admission charge and door prizes every 15 minutes - free admission Fri and Sat. There is ample free parking and a free shuttle service to and from the downtown Apple Festival happening at the same time. Tour buses welcome!

In the show's sea of Blue Ridge pottery, collectors will find thousands of bright and colorful patterns, rare and one-of-a-kind pieces and complete sets - surely something for every taste. Dealers will gladly help you find that pattern you're looking for; if they don't have it, they likely know who else at the show does.

If you have pieces you want identified, have patterns not shown in the various Blue Ridge price guides or just want to know a little bit more about your dishes, don't be shy about bringing them in - any of the dealers will be glad to talk with you. Dealer and author Jay Parker will happily photograph your undocumented patterns and items.

If you still have energy after visiting the show, Erwin's annual Apple Festival will provide you with roughly 350 booths of crafts, food, antiques and collectibles to browse through as well as street entertainment. In neighboring Jonesborough, TN, is the National Storytelling Festival. And then there is the gorgeous scenery as you drive to, from and between all these events. You can't beat it.

So come join us as we unwrap this year's crop of pottery treasures. Hope to see you there!
